Intel Revenue Outlook Falls Below Analyst Estimate
Intel’s revenue forecast for the fourth quarter of 2026 is below the average analyst estimate, with the company putting sales between $15.0 billion and $16.0 billion. The outlook accompanied its third-quarter results on October 29, 2026. Reuters reported an average analyst forecast of $17.07 billion for the fourth quarter, above the upper end of Intel’s range.
The company’s results showed third-quarter revenue rising 21% from the same period in 2025 to $16.5 billion. Its Client Computing and Physical AI Group, which Intel identifies as including its PC-focused client business, recorded a different year-on-year result: revenue declined 5% to $8.1 billion.
According to Intel, Chief Financial Officer David Zinsner said the company’s forecast was for the slowdown in the PC market to last at least through the first half of 2027. Reuters also reported elevated memory prices alongside pressure on Intel’s PC market and described the company’s outlook for the slowdown to persist into 2027.
After-hours trading on October 29 brought a decline in Intel’s share price following the financial release, with separate reports giving different percentages. Quartz reported a drop of more than 22% after the results and guidance. Reuters separately put the after-hours decline following the results at 18%.
