OpenWorld Signs Merger Agreement to Acquire Blocksight

OpenWorld, Inc. (NASDAQ: OPNW) has signed a definitive agreement for its proposed acquisition of Blocksight Holdings Co., according to the company’s October 18, 2026, announcement. OpenWorld said completion remains subject to customary closing conditions. The announcement did not identify the signing date or report a completed acquisition.

The company expects to incorporate Blocksight’s AI agents into OpenWorld Enterprise only if the acquisition closes. According to OpenWorld, that platform handles the structuring and administration of programs involving tokenized real-world assets, along with reporting on those programs.

OpenWorld said the planned uses for Blocksight’s agents include helping structure transactions and check asset data. The agents are also intended to assist with onboarding investors, preparing recurring reports for them and servicing investments. Under the company’s described approach, human approval would remain necessary at key decision points.

The agreement follows an October 1, 2026, announcement in which OpenWorld outlined its proposed purchase of Blocksight. According to that earlier announcement, the proposal required board approval and the signing of definitive transaction documents.

OpenWorld has also announced two proposed transactions under non-binding term sheets. For a financing program with Meridian, the company said it entered a term sheet on October 15, 2026, covering up to $1 billion in tokenized financing. The proposed program concerns a distributed network for AI computing that would use solar power generated on site and battery storage at residential properties. OpenWorld’s initial deployment plan covers 10,000 homes.

A separate proposal involving BeyondAI concerns a transaction backed by intellectual property, with a value of up to $130 million. OpenWorld said it entered the non-binding term sheet for that transaction on October 7, 2026. Under the arrangement described by the company, tokens would represent investors’ rights to receive payments backed by eligible.

BeyondAI intellectual property. OpenWorld said BeyondAI would keep control over its technology.
